I find our minds to be very scary. Its a scary beast that needs to be tamed and trained brutally. Show no mercy when you train your mind to be logical, rational and calm. I once imagined my mind to be straight out of a demon from the Conjuring series and really the more power it was given, the stronger and scarier it grows. Just like in the movies, what prevails is our own discomfort with the situation which forces us to not give up and gain control over our real self.

Why am i really writing about all this? The biggest epidemic that this and next generation faces are all related to mental health. There is no cure for depression or anxiety or panic disorders or phobias…one can only learn to manage them…only coping can be achieved. But they have no cures. Isn’t that scary? Having our own minds working against us. Having no control over our own minds and living in a state of constant struggle and fear.

I have been doing so much research on self growth and it all boils down to really adjusting the lens with which we view the world. The strength that we carry within our minds and hearts is essential to truly remain sane. Choosing to be positive and hopeful everyday comes with rewiring this mind and taming it to a point that it obeys you. So do yoga, practice mindfulness, enjoy a hobby, exercise, eat right, work hard. Do things that really matter and make you happy. Tame that bloody beast before it swallows you in its endless loop of catastrophic thinking…
